Beers to go

Sure, the taproom is an awesome place to drink beer, but what happens when you want to take our delicious beer to go? Don't worry, we have every available option allowed by the State of Minnesota! State law only allows the sale of beer from brewery directly to consumers in 750ml containers. All of our to-go containers are pre-filled... you might be wondering, why can't I have my crowler filled off of the tap like they might do at another brewery? Well, we believe strongly in ensuring our beer is always packaged in the best possible way to minimize any potential spoilers. When working with beer, one of the biggest culprits for staling beer is oxygen. Filling crowlers off of the taps causes significant oxygen pickup and jeopardizes the shelf life/quality. Did you know you only get about 2-3 days of the highest quality beer when it’s filled off the taps?

Our solution? An in-house, custom built, semi-automated filler which minimizes oxygen pickup, ensuring your beer will be as fresh the day you drink it as the day it was canned or bottled.
The custom built machines uses CO2 pre-purging, continuous CO2 blanketing (canner) or CO2 Counter Pressuring Filling (bottler), and provides proper restriction to give the beer a protective foam head as it is filling. As a result the oxygen pick up is minimized in every bottle or can and we can confidently say our shelf life and quality are excellent!

The only problem with using a pre-filling device is… when we run out, we are out until we do the next run (so call ahead to make sure we have something if you really have to have it!).
